This is a gorgeous example of a one of a kind Takami kamisori. It is a 1 of 1 unique piece hand made made out of white steel no1 sandwiched between jigane iron. White steel is used in high end kitchen knives and swords and is quite similar to Tamahagane steel. This high carbon and pure steel has been hardened to hold its sharpness longer than other steels.

The grind on these blades is unlike any other kamisori. They are asymmetrical ground and very hollow. So, this means they almost shave like a symmetrical grind razor. Meaning you can easily use either side of the blade. Something that is challenging with a classic kamisori. Like most kamisori, the length of the blade is relatively short and because of this special grind, the blade simply glides on the face with ease.

The wide tang and rough out of the furnace finish on these Takami kamisori makes them easy to handle even without being wapped. It has been hand marked marked by the artisan. These razors have been decoratively boxed to signify their exceptional quality. Overall, this Takami is a choice addition to any shave rotation and a luxurious way to spice up your daily shave!
