Vintage Kamijo Yukio Iwasaki BOSo SK 1/4 Japanese Straight Razor

This extremely rare BOSo SK 1/4 was likely produced in the 1960’s through a collaboration between the elder master Mr. Yukio Kamijo and Mr. Shigeyoshi Iwasaki. During this time Mr. Yukio taught Mr. Shigeyoshi Iwasaki the art of making western straights. They worked side by side in the early years of Iwasaki’s razor producing career.

This razor has been forged from very high quality steel that has gone through annealing and heat treatments to achieve a very fine and durable cutting edge. It is very likely that this blade was quenched vertically, which was the practice of Mr. Yukio, making the spine hard and resistant to hone wear. This razor features a quarter hollow grind with shoulder less design. The jimping on the tang and the stunnning profle of the blade are characteristic of Iwasaki. Just gorgeous. To accompany the quality of this blade, a set of stunning piano black scales were added for a classic black tie appeal.

Being that this was a collaboration of some of the greatest masters of Japanese razors, it is a collectors dream. This blade will be an absolute gem in your collection that will make you smile with every shave!
