Vintage Takehana Razors Co. (Kikuboshi) FEON 172 Japanese straight razor
This Takehana Razors Co. 172 is produced by the same razor manufacturer who made blades under the brand name Kikuboshi. Both Takehana and Kikuboshi blades are celebrated for their smooth shaving performance and good looks.
This 172 is a hollow grind blade with a shoulder less design that allows some flexibility for extra comfort while contouring the face. It is made out of fine grain high carbon steel alloy which retains a smooth shaving edge for an extended time. This blade shaves with high precision and the result is a smooth and close shave.
Not to mention that the look of this blade is so classic. The piano black scales and FEON logo really make it unique. For a collector of Japanese shaving history, this is a must. I’m sure it will become one of your favorites in your collection!
Condition Note:
Under close inspection you will see there is some pitting on the blade. This has been smoothed during restoration to prevent further corrosion and make it easy to maintain for a lifetime.

This razor will be finished on a high end Suehiro, Naniwa, Ozuku or Nakayama Japanese natural stone with a taped spine and then will be stropped with a fine Kanayama cordovan strop for the ultimate sharp and smooth shaving edge. This is a process that requires much time and skill. Every razor is sanitized with alcohol before being securely packed. Note that due to age, all vintage blades will have imperfections. All sales are final and all items are sold as is.
